Today a very special presentation of JeromeDL took place at Gdansk University of Technology in Poland. The Main Library at the University conceived an idea of creating a digital library for the whole region. The purpose of the presentation was to invite other libraries to take a part in the project. Pomeranian Digital Library (Pomorska Biblioteka Cyfrowa), as it's the name of the project, would contain more than 100 000 publications including antique books. PBC will be based on JeromeDL. If the proposal will be approved by the local government, the project will get the funding and it will start around June. It looks very promising and all the people look very engaged. I hope everything goes well.
